I'd laugh if the image was merely someone with a White iPhone in the UK with their T-Mobile SIM in :)

Perhaps they should give away some crayons and a colouring book to everyone who buys a new mac aswell?

As someone who uses MS word as the default word processor... a 'word processing' mode in Pages sounds dandy... some of use just don't have the time or inclination (energy) to learn pages which is so very different (not worse) than word....

I agree. I like MS strategy. They want to get their foot in the door and compete, then sell you all kinds of other ish. Look at the XBOX/XBOX 360, they may sell them at a loss, but with the Software, XBOX Live, and the Marketplace, they are making their money.
Wrong. The Xbox division still hasn't made a cent of profit. That's with the Xbox/Xbox 360 and everything related to it.
That's not entirely true. The Xbox 360 doesn't play HD-DVDs, but it does upscale standard dvds to 720p. http://www.avforums.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-256882.html
Better link:
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/xbox360/physics.htm
So what? That doesn't make it an HD-DVD player. And if you think the Xbox 360 is the only piece of hardware that can upscale standard DVDs to 720p, think again.
The only thing helping the Xbox 360 right now is the fact that it's the only next-gen console on the market right now.
Never too late.
Isn't that what people said when Apple released the iPod - its too late... Now look.
Well, when Apple released the iPod, MP3 players were still a niche market with mostly tech-oriented buyers. Just like Microsoft grabbed the market in the early days of personnal computing and has the biggest share today, maybe Microsoft will have to be happy with a 10-15% MP3 player marketshare in 5-10 years.
MP3 player = iPod, just like personnal computer = PC = Windows these days.

Is there anything really innovative there? I don't think so. Yes, MacPro is an example of beautiful engineering, but there's not much innovation in there.
So what are you expecting? The computer industry hasn't been truly innovative since the first ICs were produced. I suppose you could claim the invention of the mouse was relatively innovative, but certainly not the addition of the keyboard - those had been used in typewriters for years! For the rest of it, all it is is binary mathematics - with short and long term storage - this was all stuff mathematicians had a handle on for millenia. Nothing innovative there right? The internet? Not really innovative, people had been connecting PCs together with serial and parallel cables for years before that. The internet did it better, but so what? To be truly innovative, you must come up with something that no one else has ever done, right?
In case you hadn't noticed, pretty much everything in the computer industry had been done before, or can be seen as an adaption of something else. So by your definition, there are no new ideas and therefore no innovation anywhere. Which leads me to ask, what innovative things are you looking for, that you feel you can criticize Apple for not being innovative enough?

One word. Macworld.
I sold half of my shares in the company the day before Macworld at an astounding price. I personally feel for whoever the buyer was, as they paid well over what my shares were worth that day (wrongly anticipating a spike after Macworld). I, however, have had a close eye on the rumors and Apple's business model as of late. I anticipated several elements that came to frutition, and now still having half of my Apple stock, I about broke even. Until Apple soars high again :). First really insightful stock market decision I've ever made.
Buy now :-) Thats my $0.02

It would seem unusual to give a company with 10% of the revenue at least 35% rebate over a company with 90% of the revenue. This looks very much anti-competitive to me.
So are you saying that it would *not* look anti-competitive to you if the company already holding the lion's share of the market was on the receiving end of a generous price cut?
Who says Amazon is getting a better deal from the labels anyway? They could just be selling the tracks as loss leaders to drive more people to Amazon. The same basic approach helped turn Walmart into the biggest brick and mortar store in the world. Like I said before, loss leading is a common and legal retail tactic.

I'd like some speakers/subs for the Lincoln and possibly a new exhaust too. :D
I fully support the bump, but there are wayyyyy better choices out there for your money than the Mtx Terminator series.

They could have avoided all this drama by just not announcing the white iPhone until it was ready, but noooo.
If no one knew it was planned, there wouldn't have been all this bitching, and Apple could have surprised us with it.

Well Apple has used up all the "big cat" names like Tiger and Lion which means that either OS 11 is underway or they will be in the embarassing situation of having to use lesser cat names which imply "less".
Ocelot, Cheetah, Cougar, Fluffy, etc......
I for one am ready for OS 11.0 "Merlot"
I was REALLY hoping for OSX Couger, lol.
But seriously.... to quote Paul Giamatti...."I am not drinking any ****ING merlot!"

I will say the market seems to disagree.
It seems to be 4-4.3 in screens is the sweet spot. 4.5 seems to be 2 big but 4-4.3 people seem to like.
I know most people like that size of screen. However, I hate it. The 3GS is the perfect size imo. Slides in the pocket nice and easy, but, the screen isn't so tiny you can't press anything either.
So long as Apple doesn't mess with the size of the device, I'll be indifferent. I just don't want to carry something as big as some of the Android devices I've seen.

Stop taking my words out of context and twisting them to your advantage...
I never said that but I would be suspicious of said human
I'm confused. What part of his stance should we sympathize with if we were in his shoes?

it looks to me that we are still ranked 59. and the next group is about to pass us!
but yes, talking about it more here helps out quite a bit. the more we interact here, the better
We lost our spot again. We passed Team Lithuania for a brief time as yesterday was a big day for us and a bad one for them.

Hahahaha, great attempt -aggie-! Now I'm sure you're a WW!! I've suspected alllll along, and now you pull this faux Seer out of the same hat you pull your bunnies from. -aggie-.
You might have pulled the (werewolf) wool over the eyes of the others, but you are NOT fooling me! YOU are the werewolf, I'm simply your red herring.
My new avatar didn't help me much. But maybe this will help you out.

This is what will get me switching to VMware vs Parallels, multicore support in virtualization!
That will work nicely on the Mac Pros. Keep us updated.

Don't bet on it. IF AT&T gets them...trust me...the rates will go up.
Not if they're grandfathered in! AT&T has stated in their proposal papers to the FCC that they're going to honor the T-Mobile plans in contract even if they upgrade phones.

:DOnly way i'm getting this phone is if I walk in apple and can swap my black one either easily or by bull****ing a defect and asking for white. otherwise iPhone 5 is worth the wait even if its not soon, I mean phones are usually in our pockets anyway....when they are not, i usually look at my screen...:D
